Two New Motorcycles Enhance UPSI Auxiliary Police Operations

Tanjong Malim, 6 November 2025 – A Motorcycle Handover Ceremony for the Auxiliary Police was held at the Chancellery Building of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance security preparedness and operational capabilities across the campus.

During the ceremony, two Yamaha MT-15 motorcycles were officially handed over to improve patrol mobility, enable faster response to security incidents, and strengthen traffic control within the university premises.

The handover was officiated by the UPSI Registrar, Helmi Zaifura Abdul Rahman, and received by ASP/AP Mohd Fairuz Mislan, representing the UPSI Auxiliary Police. The event was also attended by Saiduri Dolah, a member of the University Top Management Committee, along with representatives from the UPSI administrative management.

The ceremony was further highlighted by an address from Helmi Zaifura, who emphasised that the handover of the motorcycles reflects the university’s strong commitment to strengthening security readiness and the effectiveness of campus security operations. He also expressed his appreciation to the Auxiliary Police for their professionalism and unwavering dedication in ensuring that the UPSI environment remains safe, conducive and well-organised.

“This support forms part of the university’s continuous efforts to provide a harmonious learning environment for the well-being of the entire UPSI community,” he added.

In support of this initiative, Helmi Zaifura also took the opportunity to personally test-ride the Yamaha MT-15 motorcycle to directly assess the vehicle’s performance and comfort for campus security operations. ASP/AP Mohd Fairuz likewise expressed his appreciation to the university for its continuous support in enhancing security equipment and operational capabilities, noting that the addition of these assets would further strengthen the readiness of Auxiliary Police personnel in carrying out their daily duties to safeguard the UPSI community.

This initiative further reinforces the university’s commitment to raising campus security standards, in line with UPSI’s aspiration to lead educational excellence while ensuring that the welfare and well-being of its community remain a top priority.

To conclude the ceremony, guests also had the opportunity to capture the occasion in a group photo session before the event came to an end.
